Weekly Photo Challenge: Launch
Weekly Photo Challenge: Launch
Last year during the summer, the armed forces launched a recruitment drive in Birmingham aimed at tempting more school leavers with a career in the army. This is one of the many ‘toys’ that were on displayed to impress the kids, there were also lots of other tools, machinery and general military hardware to engage the attention of their targets with.

It’s a great photo, very clear and sharp. But it makes me sad. I bet there were no photos of the reality of war, kids coming home in coffins, stuff like that, huh.
I agree Brenda, these to me are all just instruments of destruction, it was a bit weird watching the kids signing up with their parents in tow.
Hope these dont get launched though. nice pic.;)
Most definitely! 🙂
Thanks.

I agree with Brenda too; these ‘war toys’ may impress the COD generation, but I bet they and their parents would not feel the same if they took a trip round a military hospital to see the realities of war… 😦
Lovely picture..but i don’t want it to launch!

That certainly demands some attention, doesn’t it?!
a striking image and sad at the same time – evoking all sorts of thoughts and reflections, some already mentioned.
